Back with his signature bass house flare, Parisian producer Asdek flips Habstrakt’s “The One.” His enigmatic remix is available for streaming and purchase on Wednesday, October 30 via Monstercat as part of Habstrakt’s remix package.
A producer seemingly in a league of his own, Asdek’s sound is minimal, yet comprehensive. Full of ominous backsound littered with inspirations ranging from UK house to hip-hop, the dynamic artist is a hard-hitting amalgamation of his many musical influences. Whether releasing original tracks or adding his nuanced flare to existing works, Asdek constantly redefines house music, and his remix of Habstrakt’s “The One” is no exception. Flooded with punchy basslines and rousing percussion, Asdek’s take on “The One” is infectious from first note to last.
Asdek is a musical project created in 2012 in Montpellier, France. Highly influenced by club sounds, the young Parisian plays on UK House, Bass House, Hip-Hop, and Techno beats to create a distinctive sound that’s authentically fresh. Driven to merge these musical influences in new ways, Asdek has released with several trending labels: CONFESSION, Barong Family, Insomniac. He also received support from a multitude of electronic music’s hottest stars like DJ Snake (who has been supporting his Enzo remix all summer long), Oliver Heldens, Tchami, Malaa, Jauz, Habstrakt and many more. He has also seen success playing stages across Europe—from Lollapalooza Paris and Southern Dock in Marseille, to closing out the last set ever at the infamous Parisian hotspot, Showcase.
