Released through Z’s Quality Goods Records comes the latest offering from Tascione in the form of his EP ‘Smoke And Mirrors’.
The New Jersey hailing producer has already began to carve a name for himself with some blistering remixes and originals, he now offers ‘Smoke & Mirrors’ as a chance to get to know his distinctive style a little better.
Up first comes the EP’s title track ft. Ian Everson; those smooth vocals providing a slick opening before the built up tension descends into a bass-ridden, weighty breakdown.
Tascione joins forces with Kompany for ‘Paranoia’, this one an atmospheric, murky number – before ‘Lights Out’ drops, expect snappy riffs, snatches of pitched vocals and swooping, screeching drops. Finally we have ‘Enigma’, another striking dubstep/trap hybrid with an intense, ricocheting bassline.
‘Smoke and Mirrors’ is an exhilarating ball of energy that does not quit.
